Acceptable Use Policy

The rules that keep shared infrastructure safe for every tenant.

Kupe Cloud Acceptable Use Policy

Version: v1.0.0 Last updated: August 21, 2026

About this policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the Kupe Cloud platform and any clusters, compute, storage, network, and services provided through it (the “Services”). It supplements the Terms of Service. By using the Services you agree to this AUP. We may suspend or terminate any tenant, workload, or account that violates it, with or without notice where the violation threatens the platform, other customers, or third parties.

Why this exists

Kupe Cloud runs tenant workloads on shared infrastructure: shared egress IPs, a shared wildcard domain and shared provider accounts. Abuse by one tenant harms every tenant, through IP and domain reputation damage and through provider-level account action. This AUP defines the line and gives us the basis to act.

Prohibited uses

You may not use the Services to:

Abuse shared resources or other customers

  • Attempt to access, disrupt, or interfere with other tenants, the control plane, or platform components.
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent resource quotas, rate limits, isolation, or billing.
  • Run cryptocurrency mining, proof-of-work, or similar workloads on free credit or trial balances.

Abuse the network

  • Send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operate open mail relays. We may restrict outbound SMTP (ports 25, 465, 587) at the network level at any time; where restricted, exceptions are granted only on request and remain subject to this AUP.
  • Conduct port scanning, vulnerability scanning, or penetration testing against systems you do not own or lack explicit authorization to test. Testing your own workloads on Kupe Cloud is permitted.
  • Participate in or launch denial-of-service attacks, botnets, or amplification/reflection traffic.
  • Operate Tor exit nodes, open proxies, or open VPN endpoints on tenant clusters.
  • Operate high-abuse peer-to-peer or torrent seeding services.

Host illegal or harmful content

  • Host, distribute, or process content that is illegal, that infringes intellectual property, that depicts child sexual abuse material, or that facilitates fraud, phishing, or malware distribution.
  • Use the Services to phish, impersonate, or deceive, including on the shared *.clusters.kupe.cloud domain.

Compromise security or integrity

  • Deploy or distribute malware, ransomware, or credential-harvesting infrastructure.
  • Use compromised, stolen, or fraudulent payment instruments.

Enforcement

Depending on severity we may: notify you and require remediation; rate-limit or restrict the workload; suspend the tenant (workloads stopped, data preserved pending resolution); or terminate the account.

We act immediately and without prior notice where a violation causes active harm, exposes the platform or other customers to provider-level action, or involves illegal content.

We respond to abuse reports sent to abuse@kupe.cloud and to reports we receive from our infrastructure providers. Because unaddressed abuse can result in provider action against the whole platform, we treat abuse handling as an availability matter and may act quickly.

Reporting abuse

Report suspected abuse to abuse@kupe.cloud. Report security vulnerabilities per our security.txt to security@kupe.cloud.

Changes

We may update this AUP. Material changes will be communicated through the platform and/or by email.
